Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst/Engineer

Project Planning & Delivery:

• Involve in project planning, including sprint planning and workflow management, to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of BI solutions.

• Manage deployment pipelines, tenant and workspace configurations, and BI gateway administration to ensure smooth and secure operations.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

• Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights for business stakeholders.

• Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that drive business performance.

Requirements Gathering & Solution Design:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.

• Develop and document functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring that BI solutions meet business needs.

Data Quality & Optimisation:

• Ensure data accuracy and reliability by conducting regular data quality checks and validations.

• Optimise SQL queries and BI processes to enhance performance and efficiency.

Governance & User Management:

• Handle user onboarding, including implementing and managing Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS).

• Support BI governance by maintaining compliance and monitoring through tools such as Microsoft Purview.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, business analytics, computer science, information technology, or a related field.

• 3 year of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related role.

• Proficiency in SQL, with experience in advanced querying, window functions, and CTE.

• Experience in data analytics using Python or R.

• Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

• Experience in managing tenants, gateways, workspace management, and deployment pipelines is an added advantage.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Experience in team management and mentorship.

• Familiarity with software development is a plus, but not required.

• Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with planning and analysis tools (JIRA, ClickUp).

• Knowledge of data visualization best practices.

• Understanding of market analysis and project scoping.

• Knowledge of governance tools like Microsoft Purview.

• Previous experience in a similar industry (e.g., ride-hailing, logistics).
